My favorite Rock Station

I'm a big fan of Thunder 103.1. This is a station that is available in Kearney, Hastings, Grand Island and the surrounding areas. I generally like all the music that they play. I enjoy the afternoon show called "the freak show." The station also puts on some really good concerts, like Buckcherry and Saving Abel coming up on Halloween. If you ever get a chance definetly check this station out!

Favorite News Item of the Week

I got big news to report for this week. My roommate just signed up for his first pro fight. It will be in mid November at the mid America center. I'm just excited to say that I live with a professional athlete! Pretty cool stuff if you ask me. Here's a picture of him and a link to one of his fights. My Favorite Painting

My favorite painting is by George Seuruat and it is called Sunday in the Park. This is a painting that uses the style Pointillism. Pointillism is where you make pictures usuing little dots that blend together if you look at it from a distance. The painting is located in the Chicago Art Institute and I have seen it twice. I think the reason I like it so much is becasue it would be so difficult to created pictures only by little dots of different colors that blend together. The fact that he did it so good is really impressive to me. Another thing that people don't realize is how big it is. When I saw it I was shocked by how big the thing is. It took up almost an entire wall! It was about the same size as our marker board but a bit larger. If you are ever in Chicago I would definetly go see this museum. You can see this as well as other really famous paintings. For example that one where there is a farmer and his wife with a pichfork. It's called the American Gothic by Grant Wood.

My Favorite Vacation

What is my favorite vacation spot? This is a really hard questions for me to answer. Growing up my family would usually go on vacation for a week in the summer. These places never were too exotic and never too far away. The farthest we went south was Texas, the farthest east was Chicago, the farthest West was Colorado, and the farthest North was Canada. Out of the trips I've taken with my family I would definitely choose Chicago. We went here twice and I had a blast each time. We went to the top of the Sears Tower, ate authentic Chicago deep dish pizza, saw priceless art, and even went to Medieval Times. I have taken a few trips since I grew up and have been on my own. My friends and I have gone on a trip skiing in Colorado and my fiancee and I went with her family to Yellowstone. Overall this would be at the top of my list. Yellowstone is definitely a place like no other on earth! It has so many beautiful geysers and

My Favorite College Football Team

Ok guys, here's a blog hopefully you can relate to. My favorite team in college football is The Nebraska Cornhuskers! I honestly don't think you can live in Nebraska and not like this team. Even if your a girl you still like the huskers. You guys are too young to have watched them but in the 90's this team was unbeatable. In fact the 1995 huskers were rated the 3rd best team of all time by ESPN. I loved watching them just destroy all the other colleges. I am confident that in the near future we will be back on top. I bet within 5 years we will be a top ten team and competing for a shot at the national championship. GO BIG RED!

My Favorite Hockey Team

The New York Rangers! - my favorite team in the NHL is the New York Rangers. I have loved these guys since 1994 when I watched them play in the Stanley Cup against the Vancouver Cunucks. They won that year and ever since then I was hooked on hockey and the Rangers. I have never seen the Rangers play but that will all change in January. The Rangers will play against the Avalanche in Denver and my fiancee and I are going to get tickets to it. I also plan on going to St.Louis to see them play the Blues in February. Most people like teams that are always good like the Yankee's or the LA Lakers but this is not the case for the Rangers. They haven't done the best since 1994 but I still like them anyways. Go Rangers!

My Favorite Animated Movie

My favorite animated movie would have to be "The Incredibles." It's a movie about superhero's who are forced into a program like the witness protection program. Then one day a private company contacts one of the superheros to do a job for him but it turns out to be a trap and it gets his whole family in trouble when they go to look for him. It's a movie I have probably seen a dozen times and I laugh every time.
